60th anniversary ‘Lamborghini Day’ sees a record-breaking 382 cars bring Sant’Agata to Silverstone

With 2023 featuring a host of global events to mark the 60th anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini, last weekend saw UK owners, including a large number of H.R. Owen Lamborghini clients, take part in their own record-breaking tribute.

Departing from 11 dealerships in Bull Run convoys, cars converged on the ‘Home of British Motor Racing’, Silverstone, to take part in Lamborghini Day. Guests were greeted by Lamborghini Chairman and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, who, together with Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr; Head of Design Mitja Borkert; and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Federico Foschini, presented the new Lamborghini Revuelto to those in attendance.

Making its UK debut, the Revuelto is Lamborghini’s first V12 hybrid super sports car. Delivering a remarkable 1015 CV from a combination of a naturally-aspirated V12 engine and three electric motors, the Revuelto’s aerodynamic design, carbon fibre construction and exceptional dynamism deliver performance at the peak of its segment: acceleration from 0-62mph in only 2.5 seconds and a top speed in excess of 217mph.

Led by pro drivers from Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse motorsport team, the event then saw a total of 382 examples of Sant’Agata’s finest craftsmanship take to the F1 circuit, writing yet another remarkable page in Lamborghini’s history by setting a new record for the most of the brand’s cars on track at one time.

Alongside the vibrant display on the circuit, a range of classic Lamborghini cars including a 400 GT, Miura, Espada, Countach, Diablo, and LM 002 was curated by Lamborghini Polo Storico. With a team from the specialist department, which manages the restoration, certification, archives and spare parts for historic models, on hand to answer owners’ queries, the day truly encapsulated the best of Lamborghini past, present and future.
