It didn’t take Concorso d’Eleganza Villa D’Este judges long to decide the Bentley Exp 10 Speed Six was the crown jewel of the famed Italian car show.
Officials honoured the Bentley prototype by designating it with the ‘Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes.’
For those not in the know, Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este has been an unshakably annual event for over 80 years and is considered by many to be the world’s foremost classic car show. Located on the shores of famed Lake Como, Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este draws owners, dealers and automotive aficionados from all over the world who share a penchant for historic vehicles.
This latest accolade is seen by those in the automobile industry as a nod to the superior craftsmanship required to create a concept that is both timelessly Bentley and progressively modern in design.
Accepting the award on behalf of the company was Bentley Design Director, Luc Donkerwolke. When asked about the win, Donkerwolke paid homage to Bentley’s tradition of excellence and noted the industry buzz surrounding the Exp 10 Speed Six:
“[The] EXP 10 Speed 6 is the most talked-about concept car of recent times and was the star of the show in Geneva earlier this year. Since then it has visited New York and Shanghai gauging reaction[s] from dealers, customers and the media. This highly coveted award is further proof of the success of our quintessentially British design.”
Bentley’s Exp 10 Speed Six concept masterfully demonstrates the future of luxury performance in the automotive industry. Using only the highest quality materials and most sophisticated engineering techniques, this latest Bentley concept is decidedly unique and a wonderful example of how the legendary British car maker continues to keep the competition on its toes.
