Christmas Comes Early at Jack Barclay Bentley

The Jack’s Club Christmas Party kicked off the Festive Season at Jack Barclay Bentley on December 11, hosting pop-up boutiques and displays from some of London’s finest luxury brands within the world’s oldest Bentley showroom. As a special festive gift, the Bentley Continental GT Convertible V8 made an early appearance at Jack Barclay, lining up alongside a vintage convertible from Bentley’s back catalogue.

Bentley specialists, Frank Dale & Stepsons, provided a wonderful 1955 Bentley S1 Continental Drophead – complete with a seasonally appropriate red leather interior – showcasing the ancestry of Bentley’s new advanced V8-powered GT Convertible. The new-generation 4.0-litre, 32-valve V8 petrol engine develops 542 bhp (550 PS) and 568 lb.ft (770 Nm) of torque, delivering the perfect accompanying soundtrack  to a car that represents the culmination of everything Bentley has learned about producing the world’s finest convertibles in the past century.

The S1 Drophead and Continental GTC V8 were just two of the astonishing Bentleys hosting mini-boutiques in Jack Barclay’s ‘ultimate car boot sale’. Members of the exclusive ‘Jack’s Club’ were in attendance and free to browse displays from some of London’s finest brands for last-minute Christmas gifts with a specially crafted Savile Row Gin cocktail in-hand.

Legendary Savile Row tailors, Huntsman, hosted a selection of their latest sartorial creations, while also offering guests the opportunity to splash out on the ultimate Christmas gift, a Jack Barclay Bentley Bentayga Huntsman Edition. Limited to just five cars, this bespoke Bentayga brings together Jack Barclay and Huntsman, with a host of special touches, including Peck 62 tweed highlights throughout the interior.

The fine handcrafted English shoes of Gaziano and Girling and the bespoke jewellery of Catherine Best were proudly on display alongside a number of other products from local Mayfair ateliers in and around the Bentleys in the showroom. The luxury, hand-blended fragrances of Creed sat alongside a very special Bentley and Lalique fragrance collaboration. The fine French crystal manufacturer wrought the Bentley ‘Flying B’ into a timeless sculpture, filled with an eau de parfum that’s an elixir of fine woody notes and exquisite leather, composed by Mylène Alran from the French perfume house Robertet.
