H.R Owen Bentley Surrey Partners with Local Charity Cherry Trees

The new H.R Owen Bentley site located in Surrey is entering the New Year with a new partner, the local charity Cherry Trees.

Community engagement is one of five core values at Bentley and an important part of the H.R Owen culture. Our team at the new Bentley Surrey has been putting this value into practise as part of their wider effort to deliver real value to the local community and establish relationships with those around them.

Cherry Trees provide home-from-home respite care for children with complex disabilities. Specialising in short-break visits, children with a range of disabilities, such as learning, physical and sensory impairments can play, explore, make friends, and develop their skills. Their vital work is a lifeline for over 100 children and their families in the Surrey area. They allow a much-needed break from care for the children’s parents and siblings, giving them time to recuperate and spend time with their other children, knowing their child is safe and cared for. This means the whole family becomes more resilient to crisis and breakdown. It’s essential work that H.R Owen Bentley Surrey is delighted to be a part of.

The relationship is already off to a great start. At Christmas, the team donated toys to be used as gifts for the children. They also welcomed gift donations into the showroom from customers and other locals, hand-delivering them to the charity to be distributed to the children. This gave the busy families one less thing to worry about at an already stressful time. It was also just the first step in what is hoped to be a growing and strong relationship between the two groups.

The team is excited to extend this partnership into the new year and continue to support such a brilliant charity. If you would like to join them in supporting this wonderful cause, please see the link below to make a donation:
