H.R. Owen Bugatti at Salon Privé London

H.R. Owen Bugatti London is showcasing a range of the world’s most advanced hyper sports cars at Salon Privé London, taking place from 21st-23rd April at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Arguably, the crowning showcase of the Bugatti London stand is an example of the Chiron Pur Sport; one of the newest members of the Chiron family of models. Bugatti calibrated the Pur Sport for agility, handling and driving performance so, addition to an 8.0 litre W16 engine delivering 1,500 PS, it features a 15 percent shorter transmission ratio and a number of advanced weight-saving and chassis tweaks. It’s still monumentally fast – 0-124mph takes just 5.5 seconds – but it’s on winding roads that the Pur Sport really comes alive.

The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is joined on the Bugatti stand at Salon Privé London by two cars that trace the lineage of the Pur Sport. First up is the original Bugatti Chiron, finished in an iconic combination of French Racing Blue and Black. The Chiron, introduced to the world in 2016, was the first production car to deliver 1,500PS of power, creating an entirely new sector of hyper sports car performance. Its 8.0-litre W16 quad-turbocharged engine, advanced four-wheel-drive system and lightweight chassis established a template for the whole Bugatti line-up ever since.

Also joining the Chirons is a Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, once the fastest roadster in the world. Bugatti followed up the Veyron with the coupé Veyron Super Sport, and customers soon began demanding an open top version. And so, the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse was born, utilising the Super Sport’s 1,200hp 8.0-litre W16 engine – an increase of 200hp over the standard Grand Sport. With the extra power and a number of aerodynamic tweaks, the Grand Sport Vitesse could hit a top speed of 255mph.

The three Bugatti models form just one small part of Salon Privé London, sister to Salon Privé Blenheim, which will make its debut in April at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. As one of the UK’s most prestigious events, eight cars will be making their global, European or UK show debut at Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Promising to be London’s most exclusive automotive party, with plenty to see and do in addition to the motoring attractions, the shopping village will host a variety of luxury brands, alongside the first-class hospitality for which Salon Privé has long been renowned.

H.R. Owen is the UK’s leading luxury motor dealer group, representing some of the world’s most sought-after brands including Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, BAC, Czinger, Rimac and Radford.
