Introducing the Bentley Flying Spur Speed

Bentley’s W12 engine will be remembered as one of the greatest and most advanced of all time, and now the famous British manufacturer has introduced a model it says will be one of the final cars to be powered by it: the Flying Spur Speed.

Joining Bentayga Speed and Continental GT Speed, the flagship Flying Spur model sits as the pinnacle for those drivers looking for the ultimate in performance. In May 2022, the standard W12-powered Flying Spur was discontinued in favour of twin-turbo V8 and plug-in hybrid V6 variants, but it makes a welcome reappearance in the Speed.

The 626bhp 6.0-litre W12 engine can propel the Flying Spur Speed from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds (0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds). Its maximum speed is an incredible 207 mph (333 km/h) – performance literally unheard of in the world of the luxury saloon.

An Active All-Wheel Drive system keeps the car predominantly rear-wheel-drive for the most engaging handling, but with the additional security and acceleration of four-wheel-drive traction. With Bentley Dynamic Ride, a 48-volt electronic anti-roll system keeps the body stable in corners, and with all-wheel-steering you can have supreme confidence at high speeds, and incomparable manoeuvring at low speeds.

The Speed model is instantly recognisable by its dark tint finishes to the front grille, headlamps and taillamps, along with the Speed badging on the wings. A unique 22-inch Speed wheel design is only available on this model, available in a range of finishes, and owners looking for the ultimate sporting visual appearance can opt for the Styling or Blackline Specifications.

In the cabin, a greater use of the suede-like Dinamica Pure material provides a sporting edge, and Speed drivers are given greater choice with a selection of 15 leather colours, rather than five. In the instrument panel, graphics unique to the Speed are used, and luxurious 24-way adjustable front seats come as standard, with 14-way adjustable seats in the back. Sports pedals, Speed badging and illuminated Speed treadplates complete the interior refresh.
