Maserati Ready to Charge into Formula E Electric Racing

Maserati is set to become the first Italian brand to compete in the prestigious ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Later this year, the company will make its track debut with the crack ROKiT Venturi Racing squad for the ninth season of the groundbreaking electric-powered single-seater championship, which will run from late 2022 to 2023.

Maserati’s debut on the grid will coincide with the arrival of the eagerly anticipated new Gen3 car. The fastest, lightest, and most potent Formula E single-seater ever will push the boundaries of design, performance, and range even further. This will enable Maserati to gain valuable lessons on the track to transfer to its road models to keep the legendary trident badge at the pinnacle of luxury, performance, and sustainable mobility.

Looking forward to the Italian high-performance luxury brand’s debut, Davide Grasso, Maserati CEO, commented: “Returning to motorsport with Formula E was a natural choice for Maserati. Indeed, we are driven by our passion and innovation. And we’re happy to share this adventure with a partner that abides by the same values as we do and is looking ahead to the future, just like us. We share with the ROKiT Venturi Racing team the same determination and desire to compete and win on circuits all over the world”.
