Laying in Lavender with H.R. Owen

Last weekend, Bentley Surrey and Rolls Royce Motor Cars London brought two of Britain’s most exemplary brands together for a day of lavish, lavender-infused fun at the Mitchell & Peach Lavender Farm.
Thirteen H.R. Owen customers and their guests gathered in Berkley Square under the auspices of fantastic weather to make the leisurely convoy drive to Kent, where greetings were provided by Jodi Mitchell—grandchild of the original founder—upon arrival.

Prior to lunch, Jodi was gracious enough to provide H.R. Owen customers and guests with an exclusive, private tour of the farm facilities, including both the lavender fields and onsite bee hives used to cultivate lavender-infused honey.
Following the tour, a sumptuous lunch featuring all-natural, all-local produce was provided, as was a honey tasting and sampling of lavender-inspired champagne.

About Mitchell & Peach

For more than a century, the Mitchell has been farming Kent’s fertile soils and cultivating a variety of fantastic edibles—from strawberries to apples—for locals to enjoy.
From 1923 to 1972 the Mitchell’s also distributed the fruit of their labour through a thriving produce stall located on the south-west corner of the Old Covent Garden market in London.
Today, Mitchell and Peach is run by the father-and-son duo of Ian and Jodi Mitchell. Fourteen years ago, the two decided to plant more than 30 acres of lavender on their estate, making their operation one of the largest lavender plantations in England.

The calibre of lavender produced by the Mitchell Family is of an uncompromising quality, and they use a distilled essence from their plants to create a wide range of lavender and honey-infused bath and body products—all of which are hand-crafted in England.
