Flying Spur V8

NEW FLYING SPUR V8: A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN

The Bentley Flying Spur now offers buyers more flexibility, with the introduction of Bentley’s operatic V8 twin-turbo powertrain.  The Flying Spur V8 is more characterful, even more driver focused, and benefits from increased range between fuel stops and a reduction in COemissions.

At 100 kg lighter than the W12 version, the V8-powered Flying Spur is imbued with an additional level of agility and responsiveness; it has a personality all of its own. At its heart is Bentley’s 4.0-litre, twin turbocharged V8 engine, producing 550PS (542bhp, 404kW) and delivering 770Nm of torque from less than 2000rpm, making it eminently usable in almost all conditions. Eight perfectly balanced cylinders give the engine an unmistakable V8 roar, while allowing for a 0-60 mph time of 4.0secs (0-100kph, 4.1 secs) and a top speed of 198 mph (318 kph).

To maximise fuel economy, the V8 can shut down four of its eight cylinders under light throttle loads, an imperceptible change to the occupants, which takes place in around 20 milliseconds. Thanks to this technology, among other innovations, the Flying Spur is estimated to travel around 400 miles between fuel stops.

With a combination of innovative air suspension, hollow anti-roll bars, Bentley Dynamic Ride and all-wheel-steering, the Flying Spur V8 delivers a driving experience that is both sure-footed and thrilling, as well as enormously practical.

The Flying Spur V8 adopts the W12 model’s unmistakably Bentley design, brimming with road presence and adorned with muscular, sweeping lines. As standard, the Flying Spur V8 is equipped with 20-inch, 10-spoke painted alloy wheels, a V8 wing badge and quad exhaust pipes; key visual differentiations to the W12 model. Meanwhile, inside, the Flying Spur V8 is trademark Bentley; stylish, unique and luxurious. It features supremely comfortable seats in five hide colours, with Bentley’s ‘Wing’ theme across the lower console and fascia. For additional choice, the Colour Specification option adds 10 further hide colours and two duo-tone interior configurations.

First customer deliveries of the Flying Spur V8 are due before the end of 2020 in the UK. If you’re interested in speaking to our team about this car, you can contact us here.
