The Maserati Grecale: It’s Time for a New Luxury Revolution

Something exceptional is coming, carried by the winds of change. Grecale is a wind that turns the everyday into something exceptional and will blow across the Maserati range. The countdown to the discovery of the new model bearing the name of an intense and exceptional wind has officially begun.

Maserati has a long-standing practice of naming its cars after the world’s most famous winds. It all started in 1963, with the legendary Mistral. This was followed by Ghibli, Bora, Khamsin, and in 2016 with Levante – the brand’s first SUV.

Due to be unveiled to the world in 2022, the all-new Maserati Grecale will bolster Maserati’s SUV, slotting in just below Levante, and bringing Maserati’s trademark handling and engagement to an all-new market.

The Trident is synonymous with innovation, passion and unique style, and this is reflected in the Grecale’s ethos. As you may well have seen in media reports, there are suggestions the Grecale could be the fastest SUV in its class, as well as being the fastest accelerating, best handling and most spacious. What we know for sure is the new Grecale will feature ground-breaking content, particularly in the connectivity and human-machine interface areas.

Maserati has a number of intoxicating powertrains at its disposal, from the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 ‘Nettuno’ engine in the MC20 supercar to the 2.0-litre electrically assisted set-up in the Ghibli Hybrid. A full electric version of the Grecale is also expected to feature in the range, bringing new levels of refinement and performance to the zero emissions SUV class.
