Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London now has an all-new home; a beautiful world-first dual-fronted showroom in the heart of Mayfair. Spearheading a completely new design for Rolls-Royce showrooms globally, it becomes the latest exciting evolution in the history of one of the world’s oldest retailers of Rolls-Royce vehicles.
As the range grew to include Wraith, Dawn, Ghost and Black Badge models, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London must grow alongside it. As a consequence, the new Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London showroom – based on Berkeley Street – is twice the size of the existing space. Now able to accommodate five vehicles, the showroom itself has been meticulously styled to reflect the products at its heart; both timeless and relentlessly innovative. Even before stepping inside, visitors are greeted by exquisite doors with polished vertical slats resembling the famous upright grille of the Rolls-Royce range. Transparent only head-on, it builds intrigue and suspense.
The first step into the showroom is taken over a beautiful floor-mounted Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London emblem, marked out in rose gold, and the first taste of the exquisite details that abound throughout the space. The cars themselves sit proudly presented in an area of the showroom all of their own, their personality reflected in the floor-to-ceiling high-definition screens placed throughout. Each area feels like its own private gallery, with the automotive artwork at its centre.
Elsewhere in the showroom is a beautifully appointed colour and trim area, inspired by the materials and designs used in Rolls-Royce interiors. Canadel wood paneling – first introduced on Wraith – lines the walls and presentation drawers, while shelves and hooks throughout host a rainbow of paint, thread, leather and material options to inspire customers in the creation of their Rolls-Royce. And, once the build is complete, a speakeasy bar area provides a secluded spot for a celebratory glass of champagne.
