On Tuesday 29th June, customers and guests at Aston Martin Cheltenham were treated to a truly special sight – the unveiling of the highly anticipated Aston Martin DB12. The launch heralds a new era in Aston Martin’s illustrious history, as it removes the silk cover from the world’s first-ever ‘super-tourer’.
Customers and guests joined the H.R. Owen Aston Martin team at our Cheltenham showroom to get an enviable first look at the all-new DB12 – a car designed to fuse thrilling dynamics with refinement and comfort. Alongside the grand unveiling, guests enjoyed catering from Lush by Tom Kerridge, one of the UK’s most renowned Michelin-starred chefs.
Coinciding with the storied brand’s 110th anniversary and 75 years of the legendary ‘David Brown’ DB nameplate, the evening celebrated Aston Martin’s rich heritage, while giving guests a preview of the ambitious future that the DB12 embodies.
Replacing the celebrated DB11, the DB12 delivers a quantum shift and spearheads Aston Martin’s next generation of sports cars. Aston Martin’s product experts were on hand to reveal full details of the car’s ultra-responsive twin-turbocharged V8, which now delivers increased levels of power, torque, and performance: 0-62mph is dispatched in a staggering 3.6 seconds; top speed an incredible 202mph.
The DB12’s scintillating performance is mirrored in its aggressive styling. Guests were able to peruse the car from every possible angle and gain a full appreciation of the car’s assertive, athletic form. It also sports a larger front grille, which enhances its commanding exterior aesthetic, further boosted by new ultra-advanced LED Matrix headlights. Notably, the DB12 is the first production model to bear the latest version of the brand’s iconic wings badge.
The boldness of the DB12 extends into its opulent interior, which integrates the latest technology with luxury craftsmanship and materials. Making its debut is a bespoke, next-generation infotainment system featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen powered by the brand’s proprietary software. With seamless clarity and intuitive operation, the DB12’s interior offers drivers and passengers a wonderfully immersive experience, blending functionality with sporting excitement.
