Prom night is an unforgettable experience for any student. But for those leaving The Avenue School Special Needs Academy on the beautifully warm sunny evening of Friday 7th July, Aston Martin Reading helped to take it up a gear by bringing along a very special guest.
The Avenue helps children aged from 2-19 years old with complex, special educational needs, which they cater for with a tailored curriculum and an attitude of playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy – PACE for short. Aston Martin Reading has supported the academy’s work for more than two years, including delivering easter eggs to the students.
But for Prom night, members of the team brought a stunning DB11 with them, enabling the students to pose with the car before heading inside for the chance to celebrate the end of term with their classmates and teachers.
Designed for a breath-taking maximum speed of 208mph, even when standing still in the car park the dramatically-styled twin-turbo V12 2+2 Coupe certainly made an impression on the graduates, with staff from The Avenue reporting that the students absolutely loved it.
Other supporters of The Avenue include Reading Buses, who provided an open-top bus for the event.
