Bentley Bentayga Hailed ‘Best Luxury Car 2023’ by AutoTrader

Over a century ago, W.O. Bentley famously set out to “Build a good car, a fast car, the best in its class.”

It was, perhaps, not the most modest of claims, but it was accurate. Time and time again, Bentley’s founder’s vision was validated, not least on the six occasions the brand outpaced its rivals through the gruelling Le Mans 24 Hours Race.

And now W.O. Bentley’s words have run true yet again, with the Bentley Bentayga hailed ‘Best Luxury Car’ in the AutoTrader New Car Awards 2023. And this time, to be crowned ‘the best in its class,’ the elite SUV had to overcome some exceptionally stiff competition in the form of the Audi RS Q8 and the Lamborghini Urus.

Despite the undoubted calibre of the Audi RS Q8 and the exceptional appeal of the Lamborghini Urus, it was the British-built Bentayga that triumphed.

“Of the three, it’s Bentley that has done the best job, the Bentley Bentayga artfully combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology and tastes into a deliciously opulent package,” observed Autotrader.

“Time and again, owners cited the strength of the Bentley brand and the famous traditions it stands for as core to the Bentayga’s appeal, a view shared by our reviewers and bolstered by new options like improved hybrid power and an Extended Wheelbase version for those wishing to travel in first-class comfort.”

The latest critical accolade confirms that no other SUV can compete with the Bentayga when it comes to craftsmanship, comfort, exhilaration and, of course, sheer luxury. Available with a 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine, a 6.0-litre W12 petrol engine or a 3.0-litre hybrid, the Bentayga represents the pinnacle of SUV engineering. In addition, the new extended wheelbase, EWB model, powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine, boosts legroom significantly and sets new standards in the luxury SUV class.

At H.R. Owen Bentley, our sales teams in Surrey, Mayfair and Hatfield will be delighted to arrange a test drive of your chosen Bentayga model and let you experience for yourself why W.O. Bentley’s claim to “Build a good car, a fast car, the best in its class,” still rings as true today as it did in 1919.
