The Aston Martin DB12 family is growing, with the reveal of the new DB12 Volante signifying the next evolution of Aston Martin’s soft-top supercar history.
Elevating the DB12’s character with the added thrill of open-top driving, the Volante is a timeless blend of style, craftsmanship and performance, embellished with cutting-edge technology.
Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Amedeo Felisa, said: “For many of our customers, roof down driving is the greatest pleasure. With the new DB12 Volante we have changed the rules, creating a car that intensifies those feelings by preserving all the purity and exceptional sporting capabilities of the DB12 Coupe. A rare and true sporting convertible in every respect, this is a car to challenge preconceptions and find a new generation of Volante customer”.
Powered by a visceral 4.0L V8 twin-turbo, the DB12 Volante can launch from 0-60mph in a mere 3.6 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 202mph. Bringing the engine even further into the driving experience, drivers can operate the Volante’s ‘K-Fold’ roof in just 14 seconds, all while driving at up to speeds of 31mph. It closes again in 16 seconds.
Beyond its superlative performance, the DB12 Volante is equally as unforgettable aesthetically. Its sleek design and bodywork allude to the athletic DNA of the super tourer, while the taut fabric hood creates a distinctiveness that immediately catches the eye. With the roof lowered beneath the sculpted hard tonneau, the uninterrupted beltline provides an inviting glimpse of the ultra-luxurious interior.
The opulent interior is equipped with all the technology necessary for an immersive driving experience for both driver and passengers. The DB12 range is the first to be receive Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment system, with the integration of physical switches and touchscreen commands balanced perfectly. With audio and speaker systems provided by Bowers & Wilkins, the DB12 Volante is a true soundscape, whether driving with roof up or down.
First deliveries of the Aston Martin DB12 Volante are scheduled to begin in Q4 of 2023.
