The Aston Martin Cheltenham team were delighted to host an #Astunday meet last weekend, as guests got together to celebrate all things DB, Vantage, Vanquish and beyond. The regular meet up allows Aston enthusiasts to share their love of the brand, and get a close-up look at some of the latest developments from Gaydon.
A sunny Sunday saw visitors steadily arriving in an impressive line-up of Aston Martins spanning the family tree of one of Britain’s most famous car manufacturers. Rows of modern day icons, including Vantage, DB11 and Vanquish were sprinkled with gems, including a pristine DB6 and a number of limited edition cars.
But arguably the car that received the most attention sat inside the showroom, courtesy of The Little Car Company. The Aston Martin DB5 Vantage Junior is a three-quarter-scale replica of a DB5, featuring a 10kW (13hp) fully electric rear-wheel-drive powertrain. Priced from £45,000, it spares no intricate detail, from the full leather interior to the four-wheel disc brakes and replicated Smiths instruments, including original DB5 clock.
While the guests admired the DB5 Junior, as well as Aston Martin Cheltenham’s range of modern Aston Martins on display, they were invited to enjoy complimentary teas, coffees and breakfast rolls. Aston Martin Cheltenham’s showroom team were on-hand to answer any questions about models on display.
As the morning progressed, guests gradually filtered out of the showroom into the car park, admiring the gleaming line-up of Aston Martin legends one-by-one striking up conversations as they went. And then, as the day came to an end, a chorus of V8s, V12s – and even a few straight-sixes – fired up and gently made their way home.
