Around 50 guests joined their H.R. Owen dealer hosts for a day of intensive test drives at the Chobham test facility in Surrey, sampling some of the latest models from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce.
As enthusiasts and keen drivers ourselves, we know that a gentle trundle down the King’s Road isn’t very informative when it comes to trying out a supercar with 200mph+ capability. But a test drive on track, away from speed cameras and other road traffic, offers a real insight into the ability and character of the car.
That was the inspiration behind the H.R. Owen Group Drive Day. Guests and prospective owners were able to explore their chosen model’s dynamic capability on Chobham’s banked track and Snake Course, in an intensive and exhilarating 45-minute session.
With seven sessions throughout the day, there were only ever eight cars out on the track and driving challenges at one time, with a minimum of waiting. Refreshments were served throughout the day.
